The Oppression of Yeadon Borough

Dear Good People of Yeadon, 

We are entitled to so much better than what we are receiving from our current leadership. The current leadership has caused the implosion of the entire administration which is now causing the explosion of this community. 

Beginning in January 2022 to the present, the following are some of the oppressive acts that leadership has and continues to commit:   

- Rescinding contracts of qualified, credentialed professionals to be replaced by unethical, inexperienced friends, family, and anyone else who is willing to embrace corruption;   

- Prohibiting the residents from attending the legislative meetings, via Zoom;  

- Prohibiting residents their right to speak at the legislative and/or workshop meetings;  

- Intimidating residents with threats of using police (and family members) if anyone speaks against the corrupt councilors (including filing false police reports against co-councilors and residents);  

- Intimidating the police officers if they don't carry out orders to remove residents from meetings or investigate and charge someone with a bogus claim filed by leadership;  

- Wrongfully terminated Chief Paparo against the prudent legal advice and more importantly, the wishes of the people;  

- Refusing to hire the required number of police to protect this community;  neglecting the police department of valuable resources needed to perform its job efficiently and effectively;  

- Hiring of unqualified friends and family for Borough positions without advertising the positions to the community;  

- Improper or better yet, no supervision of Borough employees and vendors (friends and family);  

- Creating a toxic work environment which led to the resignations of Jeffrey Wilkinson (public works) and Karena Sims (code dept.) both of which were highly qualified in their respective roles; 

- Abusing their position of authority to sway decisions involving the Borough;  

- Failing to provide information and documentation to all councilors concerning the Borough;  

- Misappropriating funds; etc.  All of the above have resulted in four federal multi-million dollar lawsuits against the Borough, i.e., the people of Yeadon! Whether or not the Borough has insurance to cover these lawsuits still puts us at risk because our tax dollars pays the premiums and if not covered, it comes out our budget that is funded by our tax dollars. Bottom line, we're f#cd
